Why Ole Liners exists

Baseball education and development for all. No exception.

Beyond our travel teams, we remove the money barrier for families who need it, put donated gear on kids, and run clinics open to the community.

Our programs

  • Financial aid fund

Scholarships for registration fees, transportation and uniforms, so every kid can play whatever their family can afford.

  • Equipment exchange

Donated gloves, bats, cleats and helmets are collected every October and handed out to any player who needs them.

  • Development clinics

Clinics on the fundamentals of batting, fielding, pitching and base running, open to young players across the community.

Who we work with

Local organizations our teams support. Figures come from each organization's own website (checked September 2026).

  • Leveling the Playing Field
    Sports equipment for every kid

    Leveling the Playing Field

Collects new and gently used sports gear through bins and drives, sorts it at its Silver Spring warehouse, and gives it free to schools and youth programs in under-resourced communities.

    Why we partner

Gear is one of the biggest costs in youth baseball. LPF does at regional scale what our equipment exchange does for our own families.

    What we do together

Planned: a 12U gear-sorting shift at LPF's Silver Spring warehouse in November, date to be set.

  • So What Else
    Food rescue and youth programs

    So What Else

A Bethesda-area nonprofit that rescues surplus food for families in Montgomery County, Baltimore and D.C., and runs free after-school and summer programs in reading, sports and the arts.

    Why we partner

Their volunteer days and youth programs give our players a hands-on way to serve the community they play in.

    What we do together

Planned: a 12U volunteer morning at the Food Rescue Bank, 9:30–11:30, date to confirm.

  • Manna Food Center
    Montgomery County's food bank

    Manna Food Center

Montgomery County's community food bank: groceries and fresh local produce through pantry sites and home deliveries, weekend food bags for schoolchildren, and help signing up for benefits like SNAP.

56,189neighbors supported, and 108,300 weekend food bags sent home at 76 MCPS schools2025 · mannafood.org
    Why we partner

Hunger and cost both keep kids off the field. A team food drive or packing shift is an easy first way for players to help their neighbors.

    What we do together

Planned: a team service event with Manna, date to be set. Manna says many volunteer shifts count toward MCPS service-learning hours.
